4 Stan Store Alternatives With No Monthly Fee (2026)

Disclosure: YourSolopreneurKit.com earns commissions from affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Systeme.io and Carrd are affiliate partners. Stan Store, Payhip, Gumroad and Linktree are not.

How we tested: We tested three tools hands-on in one session on October 10, 2026. On Systeme.io's free plan we created a link-in-bio store and started a digital product. On Payhip's free plan we listed a product. On Carrd's free plan we built a one-page site. We did not open a Stan Store account. Stan's own site returned no pricing text to our request that day, so Stan's prices here are third-party reports, labelled as such. Gumroad's fees come from its pricing page.

Stan Store puts a small shop behind the link in your bio: digital downloads, bookings, courses and an email signup on one mobile page. Creators like it because it takes minutes to set up. The catch is the bill. Pricing trackers report Stan's Creator plan at $29 a month and Creator Pro at $99, with no free plan. That is $348 a year before you sell anything. This guide covers Stan Store alternatives for creators who want the same bio-link shop without a fixed monthly cost.

The Short Answer

  • A free bio-link store with email and courses behind it: Systeme.io. 1 link-in-bio page with 3 products on the free plan, 0% platform fee.
  • Unlimited products at $0 a month: Payhip, with a 5% fee per sale.
  • A designed one-page site with buy buttons you add yourself: Carrd, $19 a year.
  • You sell enough that $29 is small and you love Stan's mobile editor: stay on Stan.

What Stan Store Costs

We could not read prices from Stan's own site in our session. Several independent trackers agree on the structure: Creator at $29 a month, Creator Pro at $99 a month, a 14-day trial, no permanent free plan, and no platform cut on sales beyond card processing. Confirm on Stan's pricing page before you rely on these numbers.

A flat fee with no percentage is a good deal for a busy store and a poor one for a quiet store. The table shows the yearly cost of the tools in this article at three sales levels.

Yearly product salesStan Creator (reported $29/mo)Payhip Free (5%)Gumroad (10% + $0.50, $20 product)Systeme.io Free (0%)

$7,000$348$350$875$0
$15,000$348$750$1,875$204 (Startup plan)

Stan and Payhip's free plan cost the same at about $7,000 a year in sales. Below that, Payhip is cheaper. Above it, Stan is. Systeme.io's free plan stops at $10,000 in sales, so the last row uses its $17 Startup plan. Card processing fees apply on every platform.

1. Systeme.io: A Bio-Link Store on a Free Plan

Systeme.io added a feature it calls "Link in bio" to its sales platform. It is a mobile store page, the same idea as Stan. The My plan screen in our free account listed 1 link-in-bio page with 3 products at $0, and 3 pages with 15 products on the $17 Startup plan.

What happened when we built one

We opened Link in bio and clicked Create. The form asks for a name, a domain, a URL path and a language. About one minute later we were in the editor, which has three tabs: Products, Design and Settings. The page header showed our account name with an "Edit header" button.

"Add new product" opened five choices that map closely to what creators sell through Stan:

  • Redirect to an external link, including an affiliate link.
  • Collect emails with a form that feeds your Systeme.io list.
  • Sell a digital download: PDFs, templates, any file.
  • Sell a course you built in the same account.
  • Sell a physical product.
Systeme.io Add new product dialog with five options: external link, collect emails, digital download, course and physical product

We picked the digital download. The product form walks through four tabs: Thumbnail, Digital download, Checkout page, Thank you page. Placeholder copy fills each one, so you edit more than you write.

Friction and gates

  • A payment gateway comes first. On the Checkout tab, Systeme.io told us to connect a supported payment gateway before it could create a payment page. We stopped there and did not publish a paid product.
  • 3 products on the free plan. Enough for a lead magnet, one download and one course. A creator with ten products needs Startup at $17 a month.
  • $10,000 sales revenue limit on the free plan.
  • No booking product in the list. Stan is known for paid calls and calendar bookings. We saw five product types and none was a booking. Systeme.io's plan table lists calendar events as a separate feature, which we did not test.
  • A rough edge. One field label on the checkout tab showed raw code text where a name should be.

What you gain over Stan: an email list of 2,000 contacts, a course area and funnel pages in the same free account. We built a course with a lesson in about three minutes in the same session, and "Sell a course" on the bio page picks from those.

Choose Systeme.io if: you sell a few digital products and want email and courses included at $0. Against Stan's reported $29 a month, that is $348 a year saved on the free plan and $144 saved on Startup.

2. Payhip: Unlimited Products, Pay Only When You Sell

Payhip gives you a storefront with every feature on the free plan and takes 5% of each sale. Its pricing page lists unlimited products on all plans.

We added a digital product in about 75 seconds: choose a type, upload a file, set a title and price. Payhip gave us a product link at once. The product page then told visitors we could not receive payments until Stripe or PayPal was connected, the same gate Systeme.io has.

Payhip Add new digital product form with an uploaded PDF, title and price fields

Payhip's store is a web shop, not a bio-link page built for phones. It works on mobile, and it looks like a store, not like a creator's link page.

Choose Payhip if: you have many products and sell under about $7,000 a year. Past that, a flat-fee tool costs less.

3. Carrd: Design Your Own Bio Page for $19 a Year

Carrd builds one-page sites. It has no checkout, so you pair it with payment links from Stripe, Payhip or Gumroad. In exchange you control the whole layout, and a custom domain costs $19 a year on Pro Standard.

Our free-plan build took about four minutes. Two snags: an empty image frame blocked publishing until we removed it, and the page stayed offline until the account email was verified. We cover both in Carrd vs Linktree.

4. Gumroad: Simple, With the Highest Cut

Gumroad charges no monthly fee and takes 10% plus $0.50 per direct sale, according to its pricing page. On a $20 product that is $2.50. It suits an occasional seller. A regular seller pays more on Gumroad than on any other tool here once sales pass a few thousand dollars a year. See Gumroad alternatives.

When Stan Store Is Worth $29

Stan is the right tool for a creator who sells paid calls and bookings from the bio link, edits the store from a phone, and earns more than about $7,000 a year through it. At that level a flat fee beats a percentage, and Stan's speed has value. If that describes you, the saving from switching is small and the disruption is real.

How to Move Your Bio Store

  1. List your products with titles, prices, descriptions and files.
  2. Export your customers and email subscribers from Stan. Check your dashboard for a CSV export, or ask Stan support.
  3. Connect Stripe or PayPal on the new platform first. Both tools we tested block payments without it.
  4. Rebuild your top three products. On Systeme.io's free plan that is the limit, which forces a useful question: which three earn the money?
  5. Run a test purchase with a 100% coupon or a $1 price.
  6. Swap the link in your bio on every platform, and update pinned posts and video descriptions.
  7. Cancel Stan before the next billing date. Subscriptions and memberships do not transfer, so ask those customers to sign up again.

One timing tip: make the switch between launches. A bio link that changes in the middle of a promotion sends some buyers to the old store and some to the new one, and you end up answering support messages from both.

We have not migrated a live Stan store. The steps follow the tools each platform documents.

Bottom Line

Stan Store's reported $29 a month buys speed and a polished mobile store. Creators who sell a few products can get the same bio-link shop free: we built one on Systeme.io in about a minute, with five product types, an email list and courses in the same account, limited to 3 products and $10,000 in sales. Payhip is the pick for a large catalog at low volume. Carrd is the pick when design matters most.
